> dijitul is a Mansfield web hosting company, based at 11 St John St and trading since 2006. dijitul Complete Hosting costs £1 a day + VAT and includes a managed server, Plesk, Cloudflare DNS, daily backups, free SSL, one domain a year and free migration, with support from people in the town.

Mansfield is where dijitul is based, so this is the town we know best. It grew as a market town on the edge of Sherwood Forest, then as a coal and textiles town, with hosiery mills and collieries employing much of the area. Brewing was part of its identity for well over a century. The last of the nearby pits closed in the 2010s, and the local economy has since shifted towards retail, health and care, logistics and smaller manufacturing firms, many of them on estates close to the M1.

Today the town has a large community of sole traders and family businesses: builders, electricians, hairdressers, takeaways, care providers, car dealers and independent shops around the Market Place and the Four Seasons Centre. Vision West Nottinghamshire College trains many of the next generation of tradespeople and technicians. Tourism around Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park also brings visitors to nearby accommodation and attractions.

Most of these businesses don't have anyone in-house to look after a website, and plenty have been let down by a cheap host or a web designer who disappeared. We've supported Mansfield firms since 2006, and if something goes wrong you can ring a local number and speak to someone who knows the area.
