Hosting for Bristol businesses
Bristol grew as a port, and its harbourside, the SS Great Britain and the Clifton Suspension Bridge reflect a long history of trade and engineering. Today it is one of the UK's most important aerospace centres: Airbus designs aircraft wings at Filton, Rolls-Royce and GKN Aerospace have major sites nearby, and Concorde was built there, with the last one to fly now displayed at Aerospace Bristol.
The city is also a major creative centre. The BBC's Natural History Unit makes wildlife programmes from Bristol, and Aardman Animations, creators of Wallace & Gromit, is based in the city. The University of Bristol and the University of the West of England feed a strong tech scene, with startups clustered around the Engine Shed by Temple Meads station.
Bristol's production companies, agencies and engineering suppliers often need more than basic hosting, while its independent shops and cafés just want a site that works. dijitul does both: managed hosting at £1 a day + VAT and quoted servers for heavier work.
