Hosting for Derby businesses
Derby is one of the UK's great engineering cities. Rolls-Royce has made aero engines here for over a century, and its presence supports a large network of precision engineering, machining and testing companies. The city is also a railway town: the Midland Railway was headquartered here, and train building continues at the Litchurch Lane works, now run by Alstom. Toyota's car plant at Burnaston, just outside the city, adds automotive suppliers to the picture.
Derby's Silk Mill, part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, is often called one of the world's first factories and is now the Museum of Making. The University of Derby, the Cathedral Quarter's independent shops and the city's role as a gateway to the Peak District give it a mix of students, retail and tourism alongside industry.
Engineering suppliers in Derby are judged by large customers, and an expired SSL certificate or a broken site doesn't help when a buyer checks your accreditations online. dijitul keeps the hosting side tidy: managed updates, daily backups, SSL that renews itself and a UK number to ring. Being in neighbouring Nottinghamshire, we know the area well.
