Hosting for Newcastle upon Tyne businesses
Newcastle upon Tyne built its wealth on coal exports, shipbuilding and heavy engineering along the Tyne. Today it is the North East's commercial and digital capital. Sage, the accounting software company, was founded in Newcastle and is still headquartered there, and the city has a strong games industry, including Ubisoft Reflections. Newcastle Helix, on the site of the old Scottish & Newcastle brewery, brings together science, data and technology businesses.
Newcastle University and Northumbria University give the city a large student population and a pipeline of software and design graduates. The Quayside, Grainger Town's Georgian streets and a busy nightlife support hotels, bars and restaurants, and the Northumberland coast is within easy reach.
Newcastle's software firms often need hosting for apps and staging sites, while its shops and bars need a plain, reliable website. dijitul offers both: managed hosting at £1 a day + VAT, and quoted VPS or dedicated servers for heavier work.
