Hosting for Northampton businesses
Northampton is the historic home of English shoemaking. Makers such as Church's, Tricker's and Crockett & Jones still produce Goodyear-welted shoes in and around the town, and many of them sell directly to customers around the world online. The town also hosts a large Carlsberg brewery, and its position on the M1 has made it a major logistics and distribution base, with big warehouse parks such as Brackmills.
Financial services are a large employer too, with Barclaycard among the big operations in the town. The University of Northampton moved to its Waterside Campus beside the River Nene in 2018. Alongside these, there are thousands of small firms: logistics subcontractors, trades, retailers and professional services.
A Northampton shoemaker's online shop or a haulier's tracking page needs to stay up and stay secure. dijitul manages the hosting for you, with daily backups, free SSL, Cloudflare DNS and UK-based support, so you don't need an IT person on staff.
